Care agencies have to do many things right to look after their clients well but the quality of staff really makes the difference between a good agency and a great one. We choose our staff carefully, train them thoroughly and we do all the background checks that all good agencies do, including an enhanced police check (DBS).

We ensure our staff are trained to our high standards and we provide updated training at least every two years and more often in some areas.
We understand the importance of good communications—with our staff and our clients. So we talk to clients often to understand what our staff do well and where improvement is possible. We use this feedback to create development plans for staff. All this forms part of our continuous improvement programme.

This helps us to retain our staff and encourages more loyalty than staff who work on casual contracts. It also ensures that our private clients have no worries about paying income tax or national insurance contributions.
